Upper Kananaskis Lake Trail
Directions to trail head
Hike Description
The trail head is at the north west corner of the parking lot. You will cross the boat launch area and walk on the gravel path on the north side of the lake. You see it in the photo below to the right and above the Jeep at the boat launch.

If you follow this trail counter clockwise you will leave the Upper Lake Day Use area and hike 4.5 kilometers to the North Interlakes Day Use Area. Mount Indefatigable is directly in front of you as you enter the North Interlakes Day Use Area. From this point the hike continues to roll as it climbs and descends along the lakeshore. The trail crosses a boulder field from a rockslide off of Mount Indefatigable and at 7.9 kilometers there is a back country camping area near Kananaskis Falls. On the trip down the west and then south side of the lake you will cross several bridges and come across Sarrail Cree Falls as you hike the 7.6 kilometers back to the Upper Lake Day Use Area.
