The track starts at the 5th bridge but if you want to extend the hike you can start at the 6th bridge adding 3.2 kilometers to the hike. Starting at the 5th bridge parking area, cross the suspension bridge and follow the trail on the north side of the river through the forest. As the ridge climbs the river the protective rails emerge as well as several bridges that provide excellent views of the canyon. In the summer the trail is very popular and often crowded. The noise of the river thundering down the canyon is impressive in the summer. In the winter the trail is not crowded and ice climbers can be seen climbing the waterfalls. Several companies also offer tours that follow the frozen river allowing the opportunity to view the canyon and the frozen falls from below.
