Hike Description

On June 21 2007, we did a great day hike along the Lantern Creek trail that leads back to the Picklejar Lakes. Our destination today was not the lakes, but the north end of Lineham Ridge visible on the way out. To get there, we departed the trail and bushwhacked our way to a snowfield covering a gulley. Once across the snowfield, we climbed up onto the ridge. Our pace was a little slower than expected, and because of time constraints did not climb right to the top of Lineham Ridge. However, it was a most enjoyable and different trip.

On the way back, I used the trackback feature of my GPS unit to lead our group back to the trail. The round trip was nearly 9 Km with about 580 meter elevation change. Time out on trail was about 5 hours.
