Directions to trail head

This trail is 19 kilometres west of the junction with highway 22 on highway 66. It is the last parking lot before the winter gate which opens May 1. Parking is in the Elbow Falls Recreation Area. The trail starts at either side of the parking lot.

Hike Description

For this hike you hardly need Gps. The trail is paved and most of it is wheelchair accessible. These falls are the largest accessible falls in Kananaskis. The picnic area is extremely popular and often if you do not get there early you will be out of luck. The Google Earth view can be seen via Everytrail. I have been testing out a new camera, the Nikon P5000. Here is a test video I made of the falls.
