Blueberry Hill
Directions to trail head
Hike Description
The trail to Blueberry Hill is a very popular trail for cross country skiing in the winter and is probably the most scenic spot I have come across for a picnic. At the Blueberry Hill Lookout there is both a picnic table and a fantastic view of Upper Kananaskis Lake, Mount Lyautey(to the west) and Mount Indefatigable (straight north). The Elevation Profile below shows the general terrain of the area but includes the Hydroline trail.
To get to Blueberry Hill the shortest route totaling approximately 15 kilometers return involves following the trail to Elk Pass for 4.5 kilometers to the intersection with the trail to Blueberry Hill. The trail to Blueberry Hill from the intersection of the Elk Pass Trail is an additional 3.7 kilometers (one-way). As I already noted, the view is fantastic.

If you want to add a few kilometers you can return via Elk Pass and the Hydroline Trail. I have included as two separate files Blueberry_Hill_GPS_Track which is the track directly to Blueberry Hill via the Elk Pass Trail and Blueberry_Hill_Elk_Pass_Trail that includes the trail continuing on to Elk Pass and return via the Hydroline Trail.
