This trail is good shape. By next week I would expect that there will be a lot of flowers blooming in the lower sections. You can see that the flowers are growing but not quite ready to bloom. The trail is dry but in the lower section from where you initially cross the creek for about a kilometer there is still ice on the creek. Caution is required because while it is not slippery there is some risk of breaking through the ice. Still over all really good conditions.

The trail was pretty good. (Okay, up the creek in some spots there was snow covering the trail.. but hiking up the mostly dry creek bed was fine). The ice in the canyon was still frozen well and you could easily walk on it.

Overall I would say quite good conditions at the moment.

Very cool little canyon to walk through! Only ran into 3 other people on the trail.

Safe through the canyon?

I can never remember when it is a good time to walk through the canyon. Ice and water still too high?

Tough to say for sure.

Tough to say for sure. There was not alot of water in the creek. The canyon, if I can call it that, at the top was fine and you could easily scramble up the rock. I did not try to go through the canyon at the bottom but I would guess that this would be a good time to try. With the delayed melt I would not wait to long.
