Hamilton Lake Trail
A great hike near Field B.C.
Starting from the Emerald Lake Parking area, this hike gains some altitude quick. It was our first hike of the year and we gained 800 metres of elevation in 4.8 kilometres and all because a bear had the trail around Emerald Lake closed. This trail is well marked and it would be difficult to get lost. Leaving the parking area you will cross the Emerald River trail within a few hundred metres and this is your last real intersection. Along the trail their are some intersections to walk to spots overlooking the Hamilton Creek. Be careful as you would not want to go in and over the falls.
Along Hamilton Creek is this waterfall.

Hamilton Lake during the first week of July, talk about a delayed spring melt.

Here is the Elevation Profile.
